Characteristics: The McAvinnue School learning community promotes a safe and respectful environment and has high expectations for all students. The percentage of students "at grade level" in reading and mathematics will increase every year. All students will enter the fifth grade proficient in literacy, language and mathematics, with the social skills that will enable them to access the fifth grade curriculum.
