Lowell Program Courses

  • The Lowell Program is a partnership with Fitchburg State Universty that brings graduate-level professional development courses to the Lowell "campus." The Lowell Program provides teachers with opportunities to take courses in topics like, "Using Data to Guide instructional Decision-making," "Differentiation Instruction," and "Cultural Diversity," and many others. Courses are offered in the fall, spring and summer sessions.  Educators can apply for and enroll in Fitchburg State's M.Ed. program and, and complete most of their degree by taking courses through the Lowell Program.

Teachers who are new to Lowell take an introductory course in the Lowell Program which is a part of their induction experience. However, the Lowell Program is not just for new teachers. Any teacher or para with a Bachelor's degree can participate in the Lowell Program. Additionally, courses are very reasonably priced at $295 for a 3-credit course.
