Transfer Request Information

Please complete this transfer request form for the 2026-2027 school year.

How the process works:  

Families who request a transfer will be placed into a weighted lottery. Transfer requests will be honored based on space availability . Requests received by June 23rd will be eligible for the transfer lottery. The lottery will be held during the last week of June. Placements from the transfer lottery will start on July 1, 2026, and continue until the 20th day of school. Requests received after June 23rd will be honored in the order they are received and are not included in the transfer lottery.   If your child is unable to be transferred for the 2026-2027 school year, you may request a transfer during the transfer period in the spring for the 2027-2028 school year.  

• You may only fill out one request for one school. Only one transfer per year is permitted.

• All transfer requests must be received by submitting the transfer request form.  The Family Resource Center cannot accept transfer requests over the phone or by email.  

• Families who do not secure a seat at their requested school will continue to receive standardized emails or Connect -Ed phone calls periodically. The FRC will notify families directly when seat becomes available after the lottery.

• School transfers will continue throughout the summer until the 20th day of school as seats become available in the requested school . 

Change of Address

If you have recently moved to a new address or are out of zone in your current school, please do not complete this transfer request form. Instead, visit the Family Resource Center with your current proof of address to update your child's records and choose 3 different schools; your child will be assigned to a school after considering some factors including space availability.
