Kindergarten Lottery Information
The Kindergarten lottery for the 2026-2027 school year will be held on May 4, 2026. The lottery will determine placement for eligible applicants based on available seats. The lottery information session will be held virtually on April 30,2026 @ 5.30pm.
All families who have submitted a completed application (with all required documents) by the deadline of April 3,2026 will be included in the lottery.
As approved by the school committee there is only one Kindergarten lottery.
The Family Resource Center is closed EVERY FRIDAY from 8am-10am.

Welcome Center Orientation Videos
WORK PERMITS are issued in person Monday - Friday, after 2:00pm. In order to be issued a work permit, students will need to come into the Family Resource Center and submit their completed two-page permit application and proof of age (one of the following: birth certificate, driver's license, driver's permit, or passport.)
Important:
- The student must be present for the permit to be issued
- The employer must sign the permit PRIOR to Lowell Public Schools issuing the permit.
- If you need the paperwork for your employer to complete, please download from our website.
If you are a student at the Greater Lowell Technical High School, that school will issue you a work permit. We are unable to issue permits for vocational school students or students who do not reside in Lowell.
We do not issue work permits for New Hampshire.
