Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code is a national non-profit organization working to close the gender gap in technology. Our programs educate, equip, and inspire girls with computing skills they'll need to pursue 21st-century opportunities.
Girls Who Code has been running at the Butler Middle School since the fall of 2018 thanks to grants provided by local businesses. The club runs twice a school year, in the fall and in the spring. Butler's Girls Who Code Club is mentored by a 7th-grade math teacher, Ms. Scott. Girls learn to code in scratch, on the iPad through Apple Swift and have even been programing robotic balls called Spheros.
