• Purpose:

    The Social, Emotional, & Behavioral Health Team builds the foundation for a safe and supportive learning environment that cultivates positive outcomes in social, emotional, and behavioral skills, ensuring that every student can attain academic success. This collaborative team of school staff works within the framework of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS), focusing primarily at the Tier I (Universal) and II (Targeted) levels.

    Responsibilities:

    Ensure students exhibit responsible behavior, maintain a positive attitude, show cognitive focus, engage appropriately with peers, and meet grade-level expectations through the following:

    1. Clearly defining behavior expectations and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) skills.

    2. Explicitly teaching behavior expectations and SEL skills on a consistent basis.

    3. Implementing a Positive Behavior Reinforcement System.

    4. Establishing a Behavioral Accountability System.

    5. Utilizing a Data System.
