Public Comment Open for Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan
The Lowell Public Schools Bullying Taskforce recently met to review the district’s Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan (BPIP) as required by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. This Taskforce was required to review the district’s existing Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan and ensure that all of the required elements were present in Lowell’s BPIP that are listed on DESE’s checklist. Both the plan and checklist are linked below and the plan changes that were made are highlighted in Red.
The Taskforce is now expected to allow the public to comment on the draft during a 7-day Public Comment Period. The Taskforce will meet again on Thursday, June 5, 2025, to review the comments for consideration.
