Lowell Public Schools Partners with Families in the Re-launch of the Breakfast with Boyd Series
Superintendent of Schools Joel Boyd and Equity Office staff have begun visiting schools throughout the district to hear from and engage with families, bringing back the Breakfastwith Boyd series that began in the 2019-2020 school year.
The casual morning events provide an opportunity for parents to share feedback and ask questions about the school and the district as a whole, while at the same time giving staff the opportunity to provide information regarding resources the district has available for families.
Successful breakfasts have been held this fall at the Bartlett Community Partnership School and the Lincoln Elementary School.
“The best days as Superintendent are the ones I get to spend in the schools,” said Boyd. “This breakfast series gives me the opportunity to speak directly with families, see what is happening at each school and find ways the district can better support our Lowell Public Schools students and families.”
The Breakfast with Boyd series is just one of several opportunities this year where families can provide input and get involved with the district. Information about these upcoming opportunities is shared with families through district emails, flyers, phone calls, and social media.
