Mrs. Shelagh Gallagher

Hello everyone! My name is Shelagh Gallagher and I am thrilled to be entering my 10th year of teaching for Lowell Public Schools. For the past 9 years, I have had the incredible opportunity to teach Kindergarten, which has truly become my passion. Kindergarten is my favorite year to teach. It is magical, exciting, and everything is new. Students come in as brand new students, and leave with new independence and confidence. What makes this experience even more special is that I was once a student at the Moody School myself. I spent my early years, from Kindergarten to 3rd grade, right here at the Moody.

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my 2-year-old son, Charlie and taking trips to the beach. I am a huge fan of the New England Patriots and love cheering them on during football season. I also have two English Bulldogs named Bledsoe and Tedy B.

We love to have dance parties in Room 6. Dancing is one of my passions, and I enjoy sharing that joy with my students. I believe that learning should be fun and engaging, and incorporating dance into our lessons is just one way to make that happen. I am excited to create a positive and nurturing learning environment for your child this year!

Welcome to Kindergarten at the Moody!
