I’m Mrs. Pappathan, and welcome to 3rd grade! I’m so excited to learn with you this year! I have been teaching for over 18 years and joined the Moody in 2013. I have two sons - one in 3rd grade and one in 5th grade. We love playing with our dog Steak, going swimming, and hiking in the woods together.

We have a great year ahead of us! We’ll be reviewing a lot, learning even more, and having tons of fun along the way! I expect all of my students to always try their hardest, and not to give up. We do a lot of work developing a Growth Mindset in my class. A Growth Mindset is the belief that while no one is the best at everything, everyone can get better at anything – even hard things! We will all make progress this year, and everyone will finish 3rd grade able to do more than when they started. We all have different ways to shine, and I can’t wait to learn the special ways each of your kids shine.

Parent support of learning is always critical to student success, but it is even more important now. I know how hard it is to keep track of everything going on with young kids because I have to do it with mine! If you need help supporting your child, please contact me and we will work things out.
