The James S. Daley Middle School is one of the largest middle schools in Lowell, with 676 students enrolled (October 1, 2015). In many respects, such as proportion of high needs students (65.7%) and proportion of minority students (71.4%), our school’s diverse population is a microcosm of the city in general. A majority of our minority students are Asian students (45%) with smaller representations of Hispanic (17.8%) and African American (4.3%) students:
