    Summer meal service will be offered at 10 different locations: Greenhalge, Leblanc Park, Lincoln, McAuliffe, Morey, Murkland, Shedd Park, South Common Pool, STEM Academy, and the Westminster Apartments.

    Superintendent Boyd has announced that Michael Fiato has been appointed Head of School for Lowell High School​ and that Ian Charles has been appointed principal of the James Sullivan Middle School.

  • Lowell High School Graduation Ceremony Announced for Class of 2020

    The Lowell Public Schools and the City of Lowell are pleased to announce that the Lowell High School Class of 2020 in-person graduation has been scheduled for July 21st and July 22nd (rain dates of July 23rd and July 24th) at Edward A. LeLacheur Park.

  • Registration Info for the 2020-2021 School Year

    The registration period will start on May 26 for Kindergarten, Preschool, and for all students entering grades 1-12 who are new to the district. Registration will now be done online.

    The Lowell Public Schools is asking all residents of Lowell with young children from birth to age 8 to complete a Family Survey so that we can better understand the needs and interests of families with young children in our community.

    Lowell Public Schools, Project Learn, and UMass Lowell College of Education are committed to recruiting, supporting and retaining educators of color who represent the racial and ethnic backgrounds of the students and communities LPS serves. This initiative offers an opportunity to develop a cohort of teachers of excellence who become teacher leaders within LPS.
