PK/K Parents
P and Kindergarten students enter and are dismissed through the back entrance of the school. Staff will be there to greet your child. If you travel on Pawtucket Street, after passing Wannalancit street, there is a long driveway on the left. Please enter the driveway and follow it to the back of the building.
Parents in grades 1-8
Please enter the school campus by using Wannalancit street, by traveling Pawtucket Street, and line up on Wannalancit street. Please do not park your car on Wannalancit street to walk your child in the building. We need you to remain in your car so we can keep traffic moving.
Admin will be at the crosswalk at the corner of Wannalancit Street/W. Bowers. We will unload cars and have students walk down the sidewalk to the school. If the buses are clear, we will have cars drive to the stop sign to let students out.
Dismissal
All students are dismissed at 2:10.

Parents in grades 1-8
If you are picking your child up by car, please drive up on Wannalancit Street from Pawtucket St. Cars will line up behind the crosswalk at the corner of Wannalancit/W. Bowers Street. Once the buses are dismissed, cars will pull up to the stop sign. We will load 3-4 cars at a time. Once we get moving, this will be a fast process.
You MUST have your dismissal card visible in your front passenger side window. Starting Tuesday, September 7, if you do not have the card, you will need to park your car and wait until an administrator can check your ID. This is for all families.
If you are picking up your child by foot, you must come to the front door of the school with your card. The admin there will call your child to you. Parents are no longer allowed to wait at the stop sign and take their children there. We tried this for two days and it has presented some concerns and has caused too much chaos. Therefore, you will be asked to go to the front door and wait until your child’s name is called and your child will be sent to you. If you have parked your car to get your child by foot, please park on a side street and not on Wannalancit St. We want to keep the street as clear as possible for cars and buses.
Other dismissal notes:
Dismissal changes must be made in writing to the school. We will not honor other changes. In an emergency, you may call the school and request to speak to an administrator.
You may not dismiss your child at 1:30 or later. Please plan accordingly.
If you lost your dismissal card, or need an extra one, please email dmancini@lowell.k12.ma.us and a replacement will be sent home via your student.
Thank you for everyone’s help and cooperation for a smooth and successful school year!
