This does not impact any bus students. Any family that qualifies for a bus should have their student riding the bus to and from school. If you have any questions as to whether you qualify for a bus, please call the school and we will assist you.
We met with the Lowell Police Department, and we have used the feedback from our families to come up with a new plan for dismissal. Most importantly, the safety of our students and staff are at the forefront of this plan, but we also need to make sure that we are clearing Gorham Street for emergency vehicles.
We will ask all parents to park their vehicle in a surrounding area (the Butler lot will not be open until 3:15pm). Bring your family sign with you (NAME GRADE) and meet us at the entryway designated for your student. Younger siblings will go with older siblings at their time frame. We also would be appreciative if you wore a mask to protect your health and other families as you line up.
- Grades 1 and 2 will be dismissed from the main door on the Butler Side. This will be at 3:15pm.
- Grades 3 will be dismissed from the main door from the tot lot. Parents will need to enter through the tot lot gate. This will be at 3:20pm.
- Grade 4 will be dismissed from the far side of the Shaughnessy closest to the Butler (by the picnic tables). This will be at 3:30pm.
- Next week, Kindergarten will dismiss at 3:10pm from their outside classroom doors. Pre-School will also be dismissed at this time, from their outside classroom door.
We ask for your continued support during this time of transition. We know learning new routines is hard - and we appreciate your feedback and flexibility while we build a system for our students.
After the late bell (9:24), we ask that you check your child into the main office. Parents do not have access to classrooms, and staff often organize classes or have meetings before school. Your child will be escorted to class by a staff member.
Be sure to check in with your teacher in advance for meeting times.
