About Ms. Rowsell
My name is Lisa Rowsell. I teach grade 5 ELA and social studies at the Stoklosa Middle School. I began my teaching career in preschool and kindergarten at the Wang Daycare in Chelmsford after graduating high school. I obtained my associates degree in early childhood from Northern Essex Community College and then went on to complete my studies at Fitchburg State college, finishing my degree in 1993. After graduating college, I did a lot of subbing before I was hired for a second grade position at The Presentation of Mary Academy in 1995. I began my public school teaching career in 2000 at the Bailey School in grade one. During a time of transition in the LPS, I moved to grade 5 at the Bartlett school were I remained until the entire school/staff/administration moved into the brand new Stoklosa Middle school in 2006. After teaching grade five for three years, I moved up to grade six for three years, then to grade seven for five years, and have been back in grade five now for 5 years. I received my Reading Specialist certificate in 2015. This year marks my 34th year of teaching. Each new day reminds me how very blessed I have been to have the opportunity to work with such a gifted and talented staff, administration, and most importantly, my extraordinary students!
