General Information
The Massachusetts High School Equivalency credential is issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to adults who have passed all subject tests in either the HiSET exam, or the GED exam; or a combination of both exams.
Candidates start by creating an account at HISET.org and/or GED.com. Your account is used to self-schedule regular test appointments and see test results.
Candidates will also need to create an account with Diploma Sender. Test scores from both vendors are posted here.
After successfully completing all subject tests, you order your official credential directly from Diploma Sender.
The first order will include your credential and a copy of your transcript. There is no charge for the initial set.
Testing Voucher Codes
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts will pay for a candidate's HiSET or GED test for up to three attempts per subject. A "No Show" counts as an attempt.
When scheduling your subject test at your hiset.org or ged.com, use the appropriate voucher code:
HISET: MAHISET
GED (First time subject test): MAFREEGED1
GED (Retake subject test): MARETAKE
GED (Second Retake): MAFREEGED1
Testing at Abisi Adult Education Center
Once a month during the school year, we offer GED and HiSET (on paper) Test Sessions. These Test Sessions are held on a Friday evening and the following Saturday morning. A tester can sign up for multiple tests over the two days, as long as there is appointment availability.
