ESOL Overview

- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Classes are for adult learners whose native language is not English.
In order to register, students must reside in the Greater Lowell area and be at least 18 years old.
Photo ID and proof of address are required before starting classes.
- All instruction is in English. Reading, writing and speaking skills are taught. Students are grouped in Beginner, Low, Intermediate or Advanced classes according to their placement test scores. If you choose a class that is not available at your level, you will be asked to choose a different class.
- Class Schedule Options will be on the Registration Form. (There may be changes in classes due to circumstances beyond our control.)
IN PERSON CLASSES:
- Morning Classes at AAEC (408 Merrimack Street):
Beginner Level Only (No English skills) : Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thusday, 9-11:30am
Low-Advanced Level: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, 9am -12pm
- Morning Classes at CMAA (465 School Street)
Beginner Level (Only): Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 9am -10:45am
Intermediate Level: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 11am-12:45pm
- Evening Classes at Lowell High School (50 Father Morissette Boulevard)
All Levels: Monday and Wednesday Evenings, 6:30 pm- 9pm
- Evening Classes at CMAA (465 School Street)
Low Level, Only: Tuesday & Wednesday Evenings, 5pm-8pm
Beginner Level Only, Thurday & Friday Evenings, 5pm- 8pm
REMOTE CLASSES:
- Morning Classes:
All Levels, Thursday and Friday, 9:00am-11am
Intermediate Level Only, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 9:00am-11:00am
- Evening Classes:
All Levels, Tuesday and Thursday, 6pm- 8:30pm
