    I have been teaching for nine years across almost all grade levels (5-12) in some capacity and this is my 5th year in Lowell. I have a strong desire to push young people to think critically about their government and life around them. Graduating from UMass Lowell, I am certified in History as well as English and incorporate a lot of writing into my classes. The purpose of this is to build students' abilities and confidence as they grow as learners as well as citizens. I absolutely love History and sharing that passion with my students!
     
    Aside from simply teaching history, I love to travel and experience history and new cultures around the world! I have backpacked across western Europe multiple times, camped around Iceland, and swam in almost every ocean. There is so much to see in this world and I love sharing those experiences with my students whenever possible!
     
    I have a deep passion for the topics I discuss with my students and it is my aim to prepare them not only for the rigors of high school and the real world, but to open them up to new ideas and experiences that will help them figure out what their passion is and have the confidence and skills to pursue it!
