Hi! My name is Sarin Ay. I am Murkland's school social worker. I've been at the Murkland School several years now, but prior to this, I worked as a school-based outpatient therapist at the Stoklosa Middle School and as an outpatient therapist for LCHC. I've worked in adult inpatient psychiatry and other various community health agencies. I continue to practice outpatient therapy work. I'm happy to share what I've learned in doing this work with you to use.
Being part of the Murkland team brings me so much joy! I encourage any of our families to reach out to me, and together we can problem solve any issues that arise. We can work together to address barriers such as: access to basic needs and accessing mental health, family medical, substance abuse, and/or edcational resources.
A little about me: on my free time, I enjoy hiking, golfing, reading, arts and crafts, and spending downtime with my family and pets.
One of my favorite quotes I'd like to share with you is: "Peace comes from being able to contribute the best that we have and all that we are, toward creating a world that supports everyone. But it is also securing the space for others to contribute the best that they have and all that they are."
