The Butler PTO hosted a "Gratitude Competition" where students were asked to showcase their thinking about gratitude or being thankful. Students were welcome to utilize a medium of their choice and winners were selected by grade level teacher teams.
After weighing all factors - including the latest trends in the local COVID-19 data and the associated health and safety risks for students, staff and the broader community - all Lowell Public Schools students will continue in remote learning through at least the February vacation week.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has removed the flu vaccination requirement for children to attend school. However, the DPH still strongly recommends getting a seasonal flu shot each year.
During the school vacation week, we are offering grab and go meal service at the STEM Academy (43 Highland St.) on Mon., Tues. & Wed. from 11am-1pm. This meal site will be closed on Thurs. & Fri.
If there is inclement weather, we now have the option of having a “Full Remote Learning Day” that would count towards the required number of learning days.
