• At the Butler, we are proud to be a distinctive public academy dedicated to preparing college- and career-bound students with a strong foundation for success. Serving grades 5 through 8, our school is thoughtfully divided into two focused divisions: the Lower Academy (5th & 6th grade) and the Upper Academy (7th & 8th grade), each tailored to meet the needs of our students.

Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant learning community where every student experiences rigorous and meaningful instruction, achieves measurable academic growth, and develops both personally and intellectually.

Our vision is that every student leaves each school year not only stronger and more engaged but also fully prepared to excel in their future endeavors and to make positive contributions to society.

We are honored to be the only school in New England recognized as both a United Nations Global School and a Full-Service Community School. This distinction reflects our deep commitment to the holistic development of our students by fostering global citizenship and building strong community partnerships that support the whole child.
