Monday Programs
Spanish Language & Culture Ms. Glasser
Students will learn introductory Spanish language, developing a foundation of basic phrases, vocabulary and grammar. Students will also learn about different Spanish speaking cultures, try snacks from Spanish speaking countries, and play games!
SNL-Soccer League
Join Mr. Pearl, the college student athletes with Saturday Night Lights and Coach Q for an intramural soccer league.
Music-Chorus Mr. Fugarino
Enjoy singing with others while developing your vocal skills and styles.Be part of a group that is goal oriented to perform for school concerts, functions and competitions as we progress! Emphasis will also be on individual vocal development/karaoke.
Tutoring Center/Homework club
Work with a variety of staff and trained peer tutors after school on your homework, ongoing projects and to get individualized help in all academic areas.
Taekwondo Mr. Freddy
Do you want to learn self-defense or just get in shape? Then join Master Freddy Zuluag from Lowell Taekwondo as he teaches you to take control of your mind and body. 3:15pm- 4pm
Cooking & Gardening Mill City Grows
Want to be the next Great Chef? Join Mills City Grows and spend time cooking and gardening. We will plant and harvest in our Butler School Garden and prepare healthy snacks and meals.
Lego STEAM club (5th-6th grade)
Take part in hands-on learning using LEGO® with a unique learning promise unit. 1. Training Trackers: Construct, analyze, and interpret graphical displays of data to describe the relationships between types of energy. 2. Invention Squad: Apply engineering design skills 3. Kickstart a Business: Develop effective problem-solving skills by decomposing problems into smaller parts. 4. Life Hacks: Create clearly named variables and lists representing different data types and perform basic math operations on values.
Lyons Club Ms Majors
Find your musical connection! We will be teaching and discussing character development skills as well as identifying and practicing our talents & hobbies such as music engineering (create your own beats) through performing arts (grades 6-8)
Architectural Club (Mrs.Barlow)
Interested in designing or building buildings? Come spend the afternoon learning architectural drafting/building skills. Using these skills you will design a 2-story house on paper then you will build to scale your house you designed using cardboard. Advance designs are available for those students who have taken the class before. All are welcome!
LET’S GET REAL (Restorative Justice ART Collage) (offered:Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday)
Art projects and discussions relating to Restorative Justice practices. Combining students' real world experiences with various collage techniques to share stories that help shape more positive outcomes.
Dance Team/Lessons- Monday
Come join the Dance Team! Students interested in joining the team will focus on building community and strengthening the TEAM. Students will learn dances to a variety of popular music including hip hop,latin,afrobeats,pop and more! Students who are interested must attend all practice

Our school believes student voice and agency is valuable to student academic success. Our school core values are centered around diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice. Students need to occupy spaces in which they can be themselves. Furthermore, these same students need to know that their peers and school staff accept them for who they are. Sign Language Ms. Cooper Tuesday
Ms. Cooper is back teaching ASL! Learn the American Sign Language alphabet as well as basic conversation.
SNL-Flag Football Sports with Merrimack College Tuesday
Join the college student athletes with Saturday Night Lights and Coach Q for sports in the gym. Students will play Flag-Football against each other! 1/31/22 SNL students will be spectators at our Butler Volleyball Game instead of the usual SNL.
Math Tutoring Mrs. Colon Tuesday
Students needing extra support in Math should sign up for this program english language learners are encouraged to attend this program as well
Music-Band Mr. Fugarino Tuesday
Learn to make music together as we learn to play instruments of brass, woodwind and percussion. Develop skills to perform instrumental music alone and together in concerts, and school functions.
