Luis Cruz

My name is Luis Cruz. I will be starting my 11th year teaching and this will be my 4th year at the Butler teaching 6th grade mathematics. I’m a proud husband and father of a two year old boy. I’m a Lawrence native, but I currently live in Lowell. I like to exercise and I’m a bachata/merengue enthusiast.

Kaitlyn Threhane

This is my third year at Butler teaching 6th grade Social Studies and my 8th year teaching. I love teaching about human origins and early civilizations, as I find it fascinating to examine how we have gotten to where we are today. There is so much to learn from our past! I always hope to instill my love of history in students and, at the very least, contribute to their wonder and development as thoughtful and kind human beings.
When not at Butler, I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks, and reading.

Cheryl Ferris

This is my 10th year at the Butler, and my 3rd as a general education teacher for ELA. The best part of teaching is seeing each student grow and become increasingly successful, independent learners and caring members of our class communities. When not in school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, gardening, skating and watching sports, especially the black and gold. Go Bruins!

Donna Connolly

This is my 3rd year teaching here in Lowell. Before joining Lowell, I spent 21 years teaching 5th and 6th grade at the Frost Middle School in Lawrence, MA. I am excited to be teaching Grade 6 Math at Butler Middle School. Fun facts about me: I am married and have two Middle School aged daughters and we also have a cat.  When I am not on the sidelines cheering my daughters on, I enjoy skiing, spending time with my family, and being outside.

This is my first year at the Butler. I am returning to Lowell where I grew up and started my teaching career. I’m happily married and have two boys. If I’m not teaching I can be found at the flea market buying and selling antiques.
