School Overview
Our district is one of the largest districts in Massachusetts, currently enrolling more than 14,150 students in grades PreK–12. Butler Middle School, located in the South Lowell neighborhood, serves as a city-wide school and is home to around 517 students. The student body at Butler Middle School is incredibly diverse, representing over 20 different countries and nationalities. Notably, 27% of the students are new to the country, and another 15% are unhoused. This diversity and range of experiences contribute to a rich and inclusive school environment.
