My name is Miss. Brekalis and I have been working in Lowell since 2016. I live locally with my fiance, daughter, step-son, and our dog, Maggie. When I am not teaching, I love making memories with my family and friends.

Melissa Hickey

My name is Melissa Hickey. I am a special education teacher at the STEM Academy and support students in 8th grade. I have worked in the Lowell Public Schools for over 13 years. I was born and raised in Lowell and love working with the students at the STEM Academy. I live in NH with my husband and two children. We are very active and love exploring new places! We also spend a lot of our time fundraising for Fitness for a Cure, which benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. ​

This is my 7th year teaching in Lowell. My favorite part of my job is helping students build not only their academic skills, but also confidence in themselves. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, traveling to new and exciting places, and reading books!

Ms. Melissa, Speech-Language Pathologist

I grew up in Lowell and have been working in the schools here since 2008. I love to read, knit, go out to dinner, and spend time with my family. I love being a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I love helping kids learn how to communicate clearly and improve
their language skills.

I think Whale Sharks look very cool! They have polka dots and crazy mouths-plus they are huge!
