My name is Helene Sawyer. I have worked in Lowell Public Schools for the past 27 years in various capacities, most recently as a special education teacher. This year I have taken on the role of Positive Behavior Intervention. I believe that every child can be successful when the proper support is in place. I just celebrated 40 years of marriage, which requires commitment, communication, and collaboration, much like teaching. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren, going camping, and curling up with a good book. The STEM is like an extended family where "Everyone Feels Welcome!"

Porbeagles. They are one of the only shark species known to engage in playful behavior, just like dogs! I guess that's why beagles is part of their name.
