Peer Mediation Program
The SCORE Peer Mediation Program has begun at the Sullivan School in collaboration with Lowell High School, Middlesex Community College, and the Massachusetts Office of Public Collaboration. We have trained Sullivan School students at each grade level to be peer mediators. Student mediators, along with a trained staff member, will help other students solve conflicts through a voluntary mediation process. Typical conflicts that might be addressed through peer mediation include peer conflicts, rumors, name-calling, social media issues, and friendship issues to name a few. Our student mediators will assist their peers in talking out and resolving conflicts peacefully. We are excited about this new program and the benefits that it will offer to the Sullivan School.
