ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

Welcome to the Business Management & Finance Pathway at Lowell High School.

The Business Department offers electives that benefit all students. This department offers students the opportunity to explore different areas of the business world while attaining marketable skills in:

• Accounting
• Finance
• Marketing/Entrepreneurship
• Business Law
• Computer Applications

Our Marketing students are members of NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) and have the opportunity to compete at the school, regional, and national level.

Students in this department have the opportunity to work in the school's credit union branch, run by Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union. Students also have the opportunity to run a retail business with the 1826 School Store located at two sites, one at the high school and the other at 151 Merrimack Street.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in the after-school Business Professionals of America (BPA) Club and compete in state and national competitions. There is a $20 member fee and interested students should see Mrs. Taylor in Room 629 for additional information.
