Welcome to the Finance Department of Lowell Public Schools. Our dedicated team works to ensure the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the district, supporting the educational mission of our schools through responsible fiscal management. We are committed to transparency, accountability, and providing excellent service to our students, staff, and community.
The Finance Department oversees the following key areas:
- Budgeting: Responsible for the development, oversight, and management of the district’s annual budget, the budgeting team ensures resources are allocated to support student success while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
- Grants Management: Our grants team identifies, applies for, and manages state, federal, and private grant funding opportunities to support educational programs and initiatives. We ensure compliance with all reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Payroll: Ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all district employees, our payroll team is responsible for managing salaries, deductions, and benefits in accordance with district policies and state regulations.
- Purchasing: The purchasing division facilitates the procurement of goods and services for the district, ensuring that all purchases are made efficiently, economically, and in alignment with district guidelines and budgetary constraints.
Our goal is to provide the highest level of financial stewardship to enhance educational opportunities for all students.
