If your child currently attends a Lowell Public School Early Childhood program, you do not need to re-enroll for Pre-K. ONLY CURRENT PRE-K STUDENTS NEED TO RE-ENROLL FOR KINDERGARTEN.
The Family Resource Center will be open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from August 19 through September 4, which is the first day of Kindergarten. Additionally, the center will be open Saturday August 24 and Saturday August 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families are encouraged to visit the FRC during these times for registration and any other urgent matters related to the process.

WORK PERMITS are issued in person Monday - Friday, after 2:00pm. In order to be issued a work permit, students will need to come into the Family Resource Center and submit their completed two-page permit application and proof of age (one of the following: birth certificate, driver's license, driver's permit, or passport.)
Important:
- The student must be present for the permit to be issued
- The employer must sign the permit PRIOR to Lowell Public Schools issuing the permit.

If you are a student at the Greater Lowell Technical High School, that school will issue you a work permit. We are unable to issue permits for vocational school students or students who do not reside in Lowell.
We do not issue work permits for New Hampshire.
