-Transfer Request InformationIf your child currently attends a Lowell Public School Early Childhood program, you do not need to re-enroll for Pre-K. ONLY CURRENT PRE-K STUDENTS NEED TO RE-ENROLL FOR KINDERGARTEN.The Family Resource Center will be open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from August 19 through September 4, which is the first day of Kindergarten. Additionally, the center will be open Saturday August 24 and Saturday August 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families are encouraged to visit the FRC during these times for registration and any other urgent matters related to the process.FRC after office hours appointments are available. You can schedule an appointment with a staff member that will assist you with your registration. WORK PERMITS are issued in person Monday - Friday, after 2:00pm. In order to be issued a work permit, students will need to come into the Family Resource Center and submit their completed two-page permit application and proof of age (one of the following: birth certificate, driver's license, driver's permit, or passport.)
Important:
- The student must be present for the permit to be issued
- The employer must sign the permit PRIOR to Lowell Public Schools issuing the permit.
- If you need the paperwork for your employer to complete, please download from our website.
If you are a student at the Greater Lowell Technical High School, that school will issue you a work permit. We are unable to issue permits for vocational school students or students who do not reside in Lowell.We do not issue work permits for New Hampshire.
