Registration for the 2025-2026 school year starts on February 3, 2025.
The Family Resource Center is closed EVERY FRIDAY from 8am-10am.Preschool and Kindergarten Showcase and Resource Fair: January 14, 2025, at the McAuliffe Elementary School, 570 Beacon Street from 5:30 -7:30 PM. Snow date - January 21, 2025DATES TO REMEMBER for 2025-2026 Student Registration:
- FEBRUARY 3, 2025: Registration opens for the 2025/2026 school year.
- APRIL 4th, 2025: Deadline for Preschool Lottery and deadline for round 1 of the kindergarten lottery.

WORK PERMITS are issued in person Monday - Friday, after 2:00pm. In order to be issued a work permit, students will need to come into the Family Resource Center and submit their completed two-page permit application and proof of age (one of the following: birth certificate, driver's license, driver's permit, or passport.)
Important:
- The student must be present for the permit to be issued
- The employer must sign the permit PRIOR to Lowell Public Schools issuing the permit.
- If you need the paperwork for your employer to complete, please download from our website.
If you are a student at the Greater Lowell Technical High School, that school will issue you a work permit. We are unable to issue permits for vocational school students or students who do not reside in Lowell.We do not issue work permits for New Hampshire.
