Flu Shot Clinics for Lowell Public Schools Students

Important update about flu vaccinations: The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has removed the flu vaccination requirement for children to attend school. However, the DPH still strongly recommends getting a seasonal flu shot each year. Please click here for more information.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has mandated that all children attending school in grades PreK-12 must receive a current flu vaccination by December 31, 2020. This includes students enrolled in both in-person and remote learning. Proof of a flu vaccine must be given to the school nurse by the 12/31/20 deadline or a child will be excluded from school.

In support of our families, Lowell Public Schools partnered with CVS Pharmacy to provide a series of flu shot clinics at our schools. The clinics are for children ages 3 and older (an adult must be present with any child under the age of 18). Family members and school staff are also welcome! A list of clinic dates and locations can be found below. You can go to any clinic – it doesn’t have to be the one at your school.

Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Click on the links below to register for a specific clinic. Please remember to follow social distancing protocols and to wear a mask or face covering. And please remember to bring your insurance card.
