Welcome!

  •  At Lowell Public Schools, we believe that education is a fundamental civil right for every child. To deliver on this promise, our district is committed to advancing equity, excellence, and empowerment in every one of our schools, every day.

Lowell is the fourth-largest city in Massachusetts, and Lowell Public Schools serves one of the most diverse student populations in the state. Close to 70 different languages are spoken among the 14,500 students enrolled in our 28 schools, and we proudly embrace and celebrate the racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity of our students and families.

Our district is looking for highly motivated, culturally proficient educators and staff, and we strongly encourage applicants from a wide variety of racial, ethnic, cultural, and professional backgrounds to apply. We are passionate about building a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable workplace for our faculty and staff, and we believe every member of our team enriches our diversity, expands our expertise, and helps us better understand, engage, and educate our extraordinary students.

A partnership with the United Teachers of Lowell, the academy is a comprehensive orientation, mentoring, and professional-development program offered to teachers during their first three years of practice.
