How to Join

  • 2022 – 2023 Application: Deadline September 27th 2022 
     

    Join a new cohort of diverse teacher leaders who will benefit from high quality professional development that focuses on cultivating: 

    • Culturally responsive communities 

    • Instructional excellence 

    • Educational equity 

    • Dynamic exchange of ideas and network building 

    Selected fellows will have access to:  

    • High-quality professional development, monthly community meetings, and summer workshops. 

    • Mentorship, support, and networking opportunities with a diverse group of educators and all affinity groups within Lowell Public Schools Leadership development through hands-on fieldwork. 

    • Workshops covering topics including academic success, cultural competence, and critical consciousness. 

    • Culturally responsive teaching pedagogy techniques to improve student success.  

    Lowell Public Schools, Project Learn, and UMass Lowell College of Education are committed to recruiting, supporting and retaining educators of color who represent the racial and ethnic backgrounds of the students and communities LPS serves.  This initiative offers an opportunity to develop a cohort of teachers of excellence who become teacher leaders within LPS.
