Reporting COVID positive test results procedure and general information (updated 12/18/20)
Notice to all employees:
Any employee who has tested positive for COVID-19 must contact the following individuals immediately:

COVID POSITIVE - If you personally test positive for COVID-19:
- Remain home and utilize the chart above for notifications.
- Immediately send a copy of your positive test result to your school nurse and Daroth Yann in HR (screenshot with your name and date of test is acceptable).
- Call your local Health Department to identify “close contacts” (within 6’ for at least 15 mins of cumulative contact) as well as your school nurse.
- If you are unable to work remotely, please email Daroth Yann in HR regarding sick time.
- Before returning to school
- Follow the guidance of your local health department and obtain clearance from them to return to work;
- Before you are able to return to work you must contact HR (Daroth Yann).
CLOSE CONTACT - If you are informed that someone you have been in contact with tested positive for COVID-19, please note the following:
- You are only considered a close contact and at risk if you have been within 6 feet of the individual for at least 15 cumulative minutes, while the person was infectious.
- Contact tracing begins by your local health department and/or your school nurse.
- You will only be notified if you are determined to be a “close contact” by the health department or school nurse. If you are confirmed as a close contact, please request a note deeming you a “close contact”, this is required from the HR department. Please send a copy of the note to Daroth Yann in HR Dyann@lowell.k12.ma.us
- You must be cleared to return to work by the health department.
- Quarantine guidelines have changed recently, please review the guidelines sent to you by your contact tracer/health department.
