Part One: Learning About Hispanic Cultures, will be offered on three dates - September 30th, October 5th, and October 12th from 4pm-6pm. These sessions will be facilitated by Noe Medina from the Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color (COSEBOC) and Rosa Segarra-Morales, District Support Specialist. We strongly encourage students, families and staff to sign up for one of the sessions below where you will learn more about the rich diversity and history of Hispanic cultures and reflect on the history of structural racism in the US against Hispanic people. 

Part Two: will focus on listening to the experiences of Hispanic people within our community and beyond and will take place on Thursday, October 7th, from 4pm-6pm. Members of our Hispanic community are welcome to join and share their experiences, whether they are students, parents, or staff. Part Three: which will take place on October 14th, from 4pm-6pm, will focus on strategies for intervening when someone witnesses acts of racism or hate. This session will also include information on how to report acts of racism and discrimination using the school district’s bias-based reporting protocol.
