  • Please find the results of a two-year project that engaged the community in developing a Strategic Plan for Early Childhood in order to work towards universal preschool for all children in Lowell. 

    Lowell’s Early Childhood Advisory Council

    The mission of the Lowell Early Childhood Advisory Council is to promote a community commitment to and a shared vision for nurturing and supporting young children (ages 0-8) and their families.   The work of the council focuses on improving the quality and coordination of services provided by early care and education programs and agencies in the city of Lowell. The goal of the council is to provide a network of needed and important services, foster partnerships among individuals/agencies who provide services to families, and share resources with educators, parents, and other caregivers working with young children.

    The Early Childhood Advisory Council meets on the first Monday of the month from 9:00-11:30 am at Lowell Public Schools Central Office 155 Merrimack Street, Lowell, MA 01852

    Started in 2013, the Lowell Education Alliance Resource Network (LEARN), was founded and funded by the Lowell business community, working hand in hand with the Lowell Public Schools.
