    It is the responsibility of Lowell Public Schools to identify any child who is a resident of Lowell, who may have a disability, regardless of the severity of the disability. Due to COVID we are unable to post monthly screening dates however, screenings may be scheduled by appoinment.

    Lowell Public Schools is committed to identifying children before their third birthday to provide early intervention services for three- and four-year-olds with disabilities. If you have questions or concerns regarding your child's development and would like to have him/her screened, please complete the online Request for Developmental Screening. Screenings occur by appointment only. Once you have submitted the online form, Early Childhood Department staff will contact you to follow up on any questions and schedule an appointment.     This notice is provided in compliance with State and Federal regulations for conducting Child Find activities in order to identify students who may be in need of an evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services.
