  • Who can join the Citywide Family Council?

    All families who have children in the Lowell Public Schools are automatically members of the Citywide Family Council.  We hope to have representation from each school at each meeting.  See our by-laws.

    YES!  We encourage all stakeholders to join us at our monthly meetings.  Family engagement is about schools, families, and community members working together to improve opur schools!

  • When are meetings?

    Meetings are monthly and are held at different locations and times each month in order to accommodate families.  Please check this website and the district's social media pages for dates and times.

  • Are childcare and interpreters provided?

    Yes!  We offer childcare and interpreters.  Please contact Rebecca Duda at rduda@lowell.k12.ma.us if an interpreter is needed.

  • Does the work of the Citywide Council go before the School Committee?

    Yes!  The School Committee is very interested in hearing the concerns of Lowell families and will receive monthly reports on the council's activities.  Central Office staff and/or School Committee members will try to attend the Citywide Council meeyings.
