About the Director

Dr. Francisco C. Vicente is a 22-year veteran educator who has spent the last 15 years with the Lowell Public Schools. Dr. Vicente has served LPS in the capacity of Special Education Teacher, Evaluation Team Chair, Director of the Laura Lee Therapeutic Day School, and Assistant Principal of the Abraham Lincoln Elementary prior to his transition to Director of Special Education. A strong advocate for students and families, Dr. Vicente has worked to establish a culture of collaboration amongst all stakeholders for students with disabilities with a learner-centered approach to education aimed at maximizing the potential for every student served in the Lowell Public Schools.
